Corruption is a part of essence that is basically a part of the thing it used to be. Each type of corruption has different effects on the user.
Effects of Different Types of Corruption[]
Fire Corruption[]
If a fire cultivator were to touch the fire corruption in their core, they would experience a blinding rage that consumes all that comes to mind. They would become one minded, and anything that goes against their current goal slowly burns in the back of their mind.
Water Corruption[]
If a water cultivator were to touch the water corruption in their core, they would instead of a blinding rage feel a huge urge to do nothing. They become lazy, Apathetic, and Depressed, feeling hopeless to do anything about their current (Get it? Current?) situation.
Air Corruption[]
If an Air Cultivator were to reach out and touch the Air corruption, they would be basically willing to do anything, not caring about the social consequences. They are simply willing to do anything that comes to mind, no matter what it is. In other words, they become a bit of an airhead.
Earth Corruption[]
If an Earth Cultivator were to touch the earth's corruption in their core, They would become stubborn, not willing to do anything they don't want to do. This is not the same as what Fire corruption does, as Fire corruption causes a blinding rage, Whereas Earth causes a stubbornness to work towards something else.
Celestial Corruption[]
Celestial Corruption, If a celestial cultivator were to touch it, would cause an absolute ignorance of established hierarchies, and would cause them to think that they know best.
Infernal Corruption[]
If an Infernal Cultivator were to touch Infernal Corruption in their core, it would cause them to suffer the effects of rapid aging. It is also believed to make you extremely punny (Dakota, If you could confirm this, that would be great)
